Cute Project For You
Lace and Trims Card Winders
Look at these cute card winders for laces, trims or embroidery flosses. The idea for the cards came from a German blogger named Domi on her blog Eumelchen's Welt. She used The Graphics Fairy Vintage Sheet Music and glued it to heavy card stock. There aren't any instructions since they are so simple, but I made some and I used spray adhesive applied to the card stock and glued a full size sheet of vintage sheet music to the upper left hand corner and lined up top and left side edge of sheet music to card stock. My pieces are actually the poster sheets you get for kids' school science projects. I flipped it over and did the same thing, only applying the adhesive and lining up the sheet music to the card stock at the upper right corner, top edge and right sides. This way when I cut
the card holders the edges were nice and neat. I "stained" the edges with brown distress-
ing ink so that the white card stock edges wouldn't look so "white". I didn't really
go onto the sheet music very much. They are really cute.
More hot days for us until Friday night, 95+ degrees. I know my daughter will be cooling
off at the lake across the street from her house tomorrow. Aunt Rose and Uncle Danny and
Bogie will arrive some time tomorrow evening. It's a long drive from Indiana. They stopped
tonight at a hotel and will continue tomorrow A.M. Can't wait for them to get here. She's
bringing lots of brand new Christmas decorations for my house and Ashley's house, WOO-HOO!
Christmas comes early this year to our little Prim Homesteads.
Warmest Regards,
Susan

Hi, Susan. You know my lace is in a big pile in a basket. I really need to do this! So easy and I would be able to find everything. Yours are so cute. They would look great sitting in a bowl or in a jar.
Great project! Thanks for linking up last weekend, I'll be featuring this and hope you have time to stop over again!
