Hi, Primmies ~
Does anyone know what I can do to center the blog header I won recently? I changed my template from
Twin Creek Primitives and I love it, except I can't get my header photo in the "box" that's on the template.
Also, some of my side items are showing half way.
I tried going in and making the width and height
smaller but it didn't always work.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
Hugs,
Susan
Mine did the same thing when I first made it.
ReplyDeleteThe way I fixed it was to use paint and reduce the size, width.
Tm
Thanks, Tam. I'm still learning how to do that.

On a 2 column Minima blog, which is what you are using, the header cannot be more than 650 px wide. Yours is 850 px wide. I bet the person who made the header would resize it to 650 px wide for you. You can resize it yourself in the free Paint system that comes with Windows also.
ReplyDeleteThe sidebar items need to be resized to a max width of 220px each, or less. Then they will fit in the sidebar. (The max width for 2 column Minima sidebars is 220px).
Thank you, Danice. This is helpful to know now. I should be ok in the future .

Hello Susan... I am currently working on switching my design. You need to make your header smaller to fit in the rectangle. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brenda. The first Brenda is resizing it for me.

Awesome header!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not very good at that stuff either. I go into my advanced settings and play around with the width in there. Every time I change my backgrounds it seems I have to that.
Sorry I couldn't help you more. Brenda from the Rusty Thimble might know.
Good Luck!

You need to go to your design page and click on TEMPLATE DESIGNER.Then click on ADJUST WIDTHS.You will now see two sliders.Use the ENTIRE BLOG slider to adjust your template so it makes your blog header sit in between your background graphics. Then click APPLY TO BLOG when you're happy with the result.
ReplyDeleteThank you, this will help in the future.
DeleteOh, I found out that these columns are
not adjustable. But this would definitely
work for ones that do.

Susan
It looks perfect now Susan :)

Hi Miss Susan,
ReplyDeleteWhat? Your Blog is "bee-u-tee-ful". The only pic that I can see that is off center sorta, kinda is the Crafting Magazine & that is probably no fault of yours. Everything looks so lovely, and so cozy and inviting.
Know what? I love you to pieces. (o:
Lots of Hugs
Prudence
