Baked French Toast Casserole w/Maple Syrup & Praline Topping

Hi! I don't normally blog about food, but since I have family guests this week, I've been cooking more often and looking for yummy new things that I think they'll love. Well, here's a good one! This is from The Food Network courtesy of Paula Deen from her show "Paula's Home Cooking".

This is a recipe that I made for dinner last night, Pulled-Pork Sandwiches. I used Sweet Baby Ray's Barbeque Sauce and the biggest, fattest Kaiser/bulky rolls we could find. I found that I needed much more barbeque sauce than the recipe called for. And, it started to stick and burn a little when I was warming it per the instructions for the last 30 minutes. Maybe less time than that, and more sauce than called for. Anyway, everyone(including child) raved about them and gobbled them up. I served two kinds of potato salad because Mr. Glen Oaks doesn't really like mayo and red bliss potato salad seems to have less than homestyle, cole slaw but no one added theirs on the sandwiches, baked beans and cold watermelon with iced lemonade. My mom wants me to make this exact meal again when my sister and hubby get here for their visit. So, if you read this blog before tomorrow, you can run to the store and get what you need if you'd like to serve this tomorrow! Happy 4th!!!
